About Us

Our breeding operation remains small, so that we can give each foal special care and lots of love and attention. In most cases, our babies will have been to an approval site as weanlings. In addition, many of them will show, as weanlings and yearlings, in sporthorse suitability or hunter breeding classes. They are halter broke, clip, load, bathe and stand for all routine grooming, vet and farrier care. Yearlings will bridle and jog in-hand, and long yearlings and two-year-olds will saddle and ground drive.

South Point Sport Horse Farm has emerged as one of the Midwest's top Sport Horse breeding operations, located on beautiful rolling pastures near Belton, Missouri.  With the needs of the amateur and junior riders always foremost in our minds, we are breeding great mares to great stallions, and producing young sport horses with great looks, great movement, and great ATTITUDES.  As a small breeder, we are able to give our young horses loads of attention from the moment of birth until they are delivered to YOU, ready to help further your dream of showing and winning.

Our young prospects are handled daily, and are "learning the ropes" of routine farrier and vet care, clipping, loading, bathing and traveling as weanlings. Our yearlings bridle, jog in hand, stand up, and most will be shown several times during their yearling year. As coming two-year-olds, they will saddle, work in the round pen and ground drive.
